Who we are

We are a membership network of more than 45 Community based organisations INVOLVED in the optimal utilisation and management of natural resources and information dissemination.

What we do

We engage in activities, events and research to build environmentally friendly and healthy communities in:

• Gender and Renewable Energy
• Information Communication and Technology for Sustainable Development
• Sustainable food and natural resources conservation

How we work

We have a secretariat involved in organisational development, research and the building of linkages locally, nationally, regionally and globally in our focus themes. We collect and disseminate information. We assist and build the capacity of member organisations to implement activities relevant to our programmes.

Where we work

Green Network is based in the Kwa Zulu Natal province of South Africa. We are involved in various forums and networks, including:-

• South African Civil Society Water Caucus
• South African Climate Action Network
• South Africa Climate Adaptation Network
